California Super Lotto jackpot moves to $$16,000,000; 4 players won the second prize

The CA State lottery official announced that the Wednesday, August 21st, 2024, California Super Lotto drawing resulted in a roll-over, creating an $16,000,000 grand prize for the next drawing Saturday. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, August 21st, 2024 were 17, 22, 27, 42, 43 and Mega number 08. The California Super Lotto jackpot has been rolling over for nine draws since Wednesday, July 24th, 2024. A single lucky player won the $54 million jackpot in Saturday, July 20th, 2024 drawing.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, California Super Lotto had some big winners. There were 4 lucky winners matched the first 5 white ball numbers except the Mega number, which won the 2nd prize. The 4 second prize winning ticket(s) won $7,806 cash each. In the past 12 months, the second prize paid the lowest $6,515 and highest $44,698 with an average payout in the amount of $26,099. Other prizes won Wednesday night included 11 tickets that matched the first 4 winning numbers plus the Mega ball won $1,419. The 11 lucky third prize winning ticket(s) which matched 4 + Mega numbers would win $1,419 cash. In the past 12 months, the third prize paid between $845 and $5,213 with an average payout $1,640. With nine prize levels, there were a total of tickets sold across California in the Wednesday, August 21st, 2024 drawing.
California Super Lotto drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:45 p.m. Pacific Time. California Super Lotto uses a 5/47+1/27 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. The chances of winning is about 1 to 23. The odds of winning California Super Lotto jackpot are about 1 in 45 million. The minimum California Super Lotto advertised grand prize is $7 million. If nobody wins the jackpot, the jackpot prize pool money will be added to the next jackpot.
