Powerball jackpot goes to $145,000,000; One player won the second prize

Saturday's Powerball game jackpot will be worth $145,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$67.4 million), because no player matched all six winning numbers in Wednesday night's drawing. The numbers from Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 drawing were 15-31-45-49-53 with Power Ball number 19.

Though the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There was only one lucky winner matched all five white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in CA won $1,000,000 cash.

In addition, 11 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 2 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Also, 143 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 71 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 427 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $100. 154 additional tickets of this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.

With nine prize levels, there were a total of 380,124 tickets across the nation won a total of $0 prizes in the Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 drawing.

America's favorite Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Power Play, which increases the original winnings but not grand prize. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners can select one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
