The grand prize for Wednesday Powerball climbed to $39,000,000 (cash option $$18.6 million) after no player matched all five lotto numbers plus the Powerball number Monday night. The winning numbers from Monday night, October 28th, 2024 were 21-27-32-48-67 with Power Ball 17.
Though the jackpot was not hit Monday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. 6 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. 2 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Additional prizes won Monday evening included 105 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 39 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash! Additional prizes won Monday night included 271 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 122 additional tickets at this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.

Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Powerball uses a 5/69+1/26 system to randomly choose winning numbers. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Power Play, which multiplies the prizes but not jackpot. The minimum Powerball grand prize starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments. Winners can select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
