Powerball jackpot breaks to $388,000,000; 2 players matched the first 5 numbers

The Powerball lottery jackpot has jumped up to an estimated $388,000,000 (cash value $$186.7 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Monday night. The jackpot amount has been carried over since no one matched all 6 winning numbers to take the $364,000,000 grand prize Saturday night. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, October 12th, 2024 were 05-14-20-41-57 and Powerball was 06.

Even though there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There were 2 2nd prize winning tickets from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching all five numbers except the Powerball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in TN won 1 million dollar cash. The other one second prize winner(s) from CT also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to 2 million dollar cash win!

Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 13 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 8 additional players not just matched 4+1, but also chose the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!

With nine different prize tiers, the Saturday night's drawing generated 738,203 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
