No ticket matched all 6 numbers. Powerball jackpot rises to $196,000,000 Wednesday, November 8th, 2023

The Powerball jackpot has jumped up to a projected $196,000,000 (cash value $$90.2 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Wednesday night. The grand prize amount has been carried over because nobody hit all six numbers to take the $179,000,000 grand prize Monday night. The numbers from Monday night, November 6th, 2023 were 12-25-40-59-61 with Power Ball 26. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past eleven draws since Saturday, October 14th, 2023. One lucky player from California won the 1,730,000,000 top prize in Wednesday, October 11th, 2023 drawing.
While there was no jackpot winner Monday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. A total of 12 lucky tickets won the third prize with or without Power Play. There were 4 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
In addition, 144 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 72 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 418 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 148 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine prize levels, the Monday night's drawing generated 369,932 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Power Play, which multiplies the original prizes but not jackpot. The odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The chances of winning Powerball jackpot are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments. Winners may choose one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
