Huge Powerball jackpot up for grabs Wednesday night

There were no Powerball lottery jackpot winners for Saturday's $218 million dollar drawing, so the jackpot will build to a projected $236 million with the lump-sum cash payout of $161.1 million Wednesday, May 26th, 2021. The winning numbers from Saturday night, May 22nd, 2021 were 03, 19, 27, 37, 40 with Power Ball 08. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 133 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
Though there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There were four lucky winners correctly matched all five lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The three second prize winning ticket(s) bought in Arizona(1), New Hampshire(1) and New Jersey(1) won $1,000,000 cash. The other 1 second prize winner(s) from North Carolina also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to 2 million dollar cash win!
Also, 16 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 6 additional players not just matched 4+1, but also purchased the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
With nine prize levels, the Saturday night's drawing generated 832,635 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Powerball game uses a 5/69+1/26 system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to buy the Power Play, which multiplies the prizes except grand prize. The overall odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The odds of matching 6 Powerball numbers are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners can select one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
