Two tickets from FL and TX share $20,000,000 Powerball jackpot

Two winning tickets for the Powerball game grand prize of $20,000,000 were purchased in FL(1) and TX(1). Nobody has however claimed the prize from Saturday night's drawing in the multistate lottery. The numbers from Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 drawing were 25, 37, 42, 52, 65 and Powerball was 14. The winning ticket holders will have the option of annuity payments for the entire prize amount of $20,000,000, or the cash payment in the amount of $9.1 million before taxes. The jackpot winners are highly suggested to sign the ticket, put it in a safe place and contact lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winners have the chance to select the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner do not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
Together with the jackpot hit on Saturday, Powerball created a lot more pleased winners walked away with large winnings. There was only one second prize winning ticket from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first five lotto numbers but not the Powerball number. The one ticket(s) in GA matched all 5 lotto numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $2,000,000 cash win!
Also, 10 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 1 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
With 9 prize levels, there were a total of 407,269 tickets nationwide won $0 prizes in the Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 drawing.
The next Powerball drawing, Monday night, will feature a jackpot of $20,000,000 with the cash option at $$9 million.
Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 69 then pick 1 Powerball number from a set of 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Power Play, which multiplies the original prizes but not jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments. Winners may select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
