Powerball jackpot jumps to $975,000,000 Monday, April 1st, 2024; 4 tickets matched the first five numbers

Saturday night's Powerball drawing has yielded no grand prize winner for the $935,000,000 grand prize. With nobody matched all 5 lotto numbers and the Powerball number in Powerball , Monday night's drawing is going to be worth a projected $975,000,000 for a single winner. The cash value will be $$471.7 million. The numbers from Saturday, March 30th, 2024 drawing were 12-13-33-50-52 and Powerball was 23. No one won the Powerball grand prize in the past 38 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a 810,000,000 top prize.
Though there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were 4 second prize winning tickets from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching all five white ball numbers but not the Powerball number. The four lucky ticket(s) bought in Illinois(1), Louisiana(1), Michigan(1) and Pennsylvania(1), each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Saturday evening included 55 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 11 additional players not only matched 4+1, but additionally purchased the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Also, 1254 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 325 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 3061 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 785 additional tickets at this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With nine ways to win, the Saturday night's drawing created 2,340,071 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. can be played in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a shared jackpot game. Powerball uses a 5/69+1/26 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play, which increases the original winnings but not grand prize. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners can choose one lump sum cash payout instead.
