The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing soars to $416,000,000

The Powerball multi-state lottery jackpot jumped to $416,000,000 (cash value $$194.1 million) Wednesday night when there were no jackpot winners in the $398,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The winning numbers drawn Monday night, March 17th, 2025 were 11, 18, 23, 38, 60 with Power Ball 09. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 25 draws since Monday, January 20th, 2025. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in OR, matched all six numbers for a $331,000,000 top prize.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Monday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were two tickets that correctly matched all five numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 2 lucky ticket(s) sold in CO(1) and PA(1), each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Monday evening included 15 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 3 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! Also, 234 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 62 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! There were 717 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 240 additional players not just matched 3+1, but in addition bought the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
With nine prize tiers, the Monday night's drawing produced 506,235 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. To play, select 5 numbers from 1 to 69 then pick 1 Powerball number from a set of 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Power Play, which multiplies the original winnings but not jackpot. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball grand prize are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years. Winners can choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
