Saturday's Powerball jackpot goes to $169 million; 1 second prize ticket sold

There were no Powerball jackpot winners for Wednesday's $155 million dollar drawing, so the grand prize will jump to a projected $169 million with the cash value of $116.1 million Saturday, March 13th, 2021. The winning numbers from Wednesday, March 10th, 2021 drawing were 17, 18, 37, 44, 53 and Powerball was 18. The Powerball jackpot has been growing for 112 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. A single lucky player from Michigan walked away with $70.00 million grand prize in Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 drawing.
Even though the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There was only one lucky ticket correctly matched all 5 lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one lucky ticket(s) sold in Virginia, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 25 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 25 additional players not just matched 4+1, but also bought the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Also, 325 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 110 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 924 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 363 additional tickets at this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With 9 prize tiers, there were 619,758 tickets nationwide won $0 prizes in the Wednesday, March 10th, 2021 drawing.
Powerball is an American popular lottery game offered in 44 member states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play, which multiplies the original winnings but not jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments. Winners can select one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
