Powerball jackpot jumps to $460,000,000; 4 second prize tickets sold

The Powerball multi-state lottery jackpot leaped to $460,000,000 (cash option $$220.4 million) Monday night when there were no jackpot winning tickets in the $443,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The winning numbers from Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 drawing were 03, 18, 27, 36, 53 and Powerball number was 12. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 26 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. One lucky player from Michigan won the 810,000,000 grand prize in Monday, January 1st, 2024 drawing.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There were 4 lucky players that correctly matched the first 5 white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 4 lucky ticket(s) bought in California(2), Georgia(1) and Michigan(1), each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional major winners Saturday night included 25 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional winners Saturday evening included 622 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 174 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, and also purchased the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! There were 1395 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and also won $100. 449 additional players not only matched 3+1, and also chose the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
With 9 prize tiers, there were a total of 923,346 tickets across the nation won a total of $0 prizes in the Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 drawing.
