Powerball jackpot increases to $88 million Wednesday, June 30th, 2021; 1 second prize ticket sold

Without a jackpot winner in the latest drawing, the Powerball multistate lottery game has carried over the jackpot to $88 million for Wednesday night's drawing. The cash option stands at a projected $62.1 million. Nobody hit all 5 white ball numbers and the Powerball number to win the $75 million jackpot Saturday. The next Powerball game drawing will be at 10:59 PM Wednesday night. The winning numbers from Saturday, June 26th, 2021 drawing were 08, 31, 39, 43, 60 and Powerball number was 17.
While there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was a single ticket that matched all five lotto numbers and won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) bought in Wisconsin, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 10 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! In addition, 226 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 98 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 627 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 222 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.

Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) system to randomly choose winning numbers. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to buy the Power Play, which increases the original prizes but not jackpot. The odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball jackpot are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments. Winners may choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
