$221,000,000 Powerball jackpot won in NJ

Somebody is celebrating in NJ, and for good reason. A single ticket has won the jackpot from the most recent Powerball lotto drawing. Lottery officials said the winning ticket from Monday night's drawing worth $221,000,000 was sold in NJ. The identity of the newest millionaire has not been determined, nor has the location of the ticket purchase. The winning numbers from Monday night, June 10th, 2024 were 03-10-33-58-59 with Power Ball number 09. The winning ticket holder will have the choice of annuity payments for the entire prize amount of $221,000,000, or the cash payment of $104 million before tax withholding. The winning ticket holder is highly suggested to sign the ticket, place it in a secure place and get in touch with lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the opportunity to select the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner does not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
In addition to the grand prize won on Monday, Powerball created far more happy winners walked away with big money. A total of 9 lucky players won the third prize. 4 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Other prizes won Monday night included 195 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 86 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, and also chose the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! There were 574 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 177 additional players not only matched 3+1, and also chose the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
With nine different ways to win, there were 426,527 tickets across U.S. won a total of $0 prizes in the Monday, June 10th, 2024 drawing.
The top prize of next Powerball lottery drawing will be an estimated $20,000,000 with a $$9.4 million cash value Wednesday night.
Powerball game is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball uses a 5/69+1/26 system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which multiplies the winnings except grand prize. The minimum Powerball grand prize starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners may choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
