Powerball jackpot builds to $185,000,000 Wednesday; One second prize ticket sold

The Powerball multi-state lottery jackpot moved to $185,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$86 million) Wednesday night when there were no jackpot winning tickets in the $171,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The numbers from Monday, June 3rd, 2024 drawing were 19-29-35-36-45 with Power Ball number 16.
Though there was no jackpot winner Monday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There was a single lucky ticket correctly matched all five white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) sold in CT, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Monday night included 11 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional winners Monday night included 173 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 58 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but also purchased the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! There were 400 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 124 additional players not just matched 3+1, but also bought the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
With nine different ways to win, there were a total of 329,590 tickets across the nation won $0 prizes in the Monday, June 3rd, 2024 drawing.
Powerball is an American popular lottery game sold in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. Powerball uses a 5/69+1/26 matrix to randomly pick winning numbers. Each play costs $2.
