Wednesday's Powerball jackpot breaks to $186 million; 7 second prize tickets sold

The grand prize in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been increased to $186 million. The cash option stands at a projected $134.6 million. The prize amount was rolled over since no one matched all five white ball numbers and the Powerball number in Saturday's $174 million drawing. The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday night. The numbers from Saturday, July 24th, 2021 drawing were 01, 04, 11, 59, 67 and Powerball number was 10. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past twelve draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in , matched all six numbers for a $31.00 million top prize.
Though the jackpot was not hit Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were 7 lucky players that matched the first five lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The two ticket(s) in Maryland(1) and Virginia(1) matched the first 5 lotto numbers with the Power Play for an incredible 2 million dollar cash win! This is part of the Powerball lottery feature that guarantees a certain multiplier on all match 5 white ball winners that also have the Power Play option doubling the prize to 2 million dollar cash. Five other lucky ticket(s) sold in Florida(1), Illinois(1), New Hampshire(1), New Jersey(1) and Tennessee(1), each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers!
Other major winners Saturday night included 14 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 5 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
With 9 different prize levels, the Saturday night's drawing produced 651,488 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is an American popular lottery game offered in 44 member states as a shared jackpot game. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
