The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $288,000,000

Wednesday night's Powerball drawing has yielded no jackpot winner for the $264,000,000 grand prize. With nobody matched all six numbers in Powerball game , Saturday night's drawing is going to be worth $288,000,000 for a single winner. The cash value stands at a projected $$130.6 million. The numbers from Wednesday, July 16th, 2025 drawing were 04-21-43-48-49 with Power Ball number 22. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past twenty draws since Monday, June 2nd, 2025. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in CA, matched all six numbers for a $207,000,000 top prize.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There were a total of 12 3rd prize winners. These included 9 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
In addition, 192 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 75 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 504 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 131 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing created 407,920 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, pick 5 numbers from a set of 69 and choose one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play, which multiplies the prizes but not grand prize. The overall odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball grand prize are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball grand prize is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
