Massive Powerball jackpot up for grabs Saturday night

The jackpot in the Powerball multistate lottery game continues increasing and is going to be up to $234,000,000 for the upcoming drawing on Saturday. The cash option will be $$106.6 million up for grab. The amount was rolled over because no one hit all 6 winning numbers to win the $216,000,000 jackpot Wednesday night. The winning numbers from Wednesday, July 9th, 2025 drawing were 05-09-25-28-69 with Power Ball 05. No one won the Powerball jackpot in the past seventeen draws since Monday, June 2nd, 2025. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in CA, matched all six numbers for a $207,000,000 top prize.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There were 9 2nd prize winning tickets from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching all five white ball numbers except the Powerball number. The eight second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in CA(2), FL(1), IL(2), MA(2) and NE(1) won 1 million dollar cash. The other 1 second prize winner(s) from TX also bought Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2,000,000 cash win!
Also, 15 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
With nine ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 416,180 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
