No jackpot ticket sold. Powerball jackpot breaks to $89,000,000

Nobody won Wednesday night's Powerball lottery drawing, worth $69,000,000, bringing the projected grand prize on Saturday to $89,000,000. The cash option stands at a projected $$39.6 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 drawing were 08, 12, 31, 33, 38 with Power Ball number 18.
Although the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. A total of 8 lucky tickets won the 3rd prize with or without Power Play. These included 6 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
In addition, 185 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 90 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 484 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 174 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 336,852 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. can be played in 44 member states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play option, which multiplies the original prizes except grand prize. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years. Winners can select one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
