Powerball jackpot leaps to $69,000,000 Wednesday, January 29th, 2025; 2 second prize tickets sold

The grand prize in America's favorite Powerball lottery is on the move. Because nobody correctly matched all five lotto numbers plus the Powerball number in Monday's drawing, the grand prize will grow to an estimated $69,000,000! The cash option will be a projected $$30.7 million. The numbers from Monday, January 27th, 2025 drawing were 02-40-47-53-55 with Power Ball number 20.
Though there was no jackpot winner Monday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were 2 lucky winners matched the first 5 white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 2 second prize ticket(s) from AZ(1) and PR(1) matched all 5 white ball numbers and also chose Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2 million cash win!
Additional prizes won Monday night included 2 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 5 additional players not only matched 4+1, but in addition chose the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
With nine ways to win, there were 263,018 tickets nationwide won a total of $0 prizes in the Monday, January 27th, 2025 drawing.
Powerball game can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 69 then select one Powerball number from 1 to 26. The minimum Powerball grand prize starts at $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments. Winners can select one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
