A single ticket bought in NC won $209,000,000 Powerball jackpot in Wednesday night's drawing

One single player has won the jackpot from the most recent Powerball lotto drawing. Lottery officials stated the winning ticket from Wednesday night's drawing - worth $209,000,000 - was purchased in NC. The numbers from Wednesday, January 21st, 2026 drawing were 11, 26, 27, 53, 55 with Power Ball number 12. The holder of the winning ticket will now have to decide to either take the 29-year, 30-installment annuity, or the one time cash lump-sum in the amount of $95.2 million before tax withholding. The winning ticket holder is encouraged to sign the ticket, put it in a secure place and get in touch with lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the opportunity to choose the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner does not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
