Powerball jackpot increases to $193,000,000 Monday, January 19th, 2026; Two players matched the first 5 numbers

With no winner in the latest drawing, the Powerball game jackpot will be worth $193,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$87.9 million) the next time the multistate lottery is played on Monday. The amount rolled over since nobody hit all six winning numbers to win the $179,000,000 grand prize Saturday night. The winning numbers from Saturday, January 17th, 2026 drawing were 05-08-27-49-57 and Powerball number was 14.
Though there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were two tickets that correctly matched all five lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in CA will collect $1,000,000 cash. The other 1 second prize winner(s) from SC also bought Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2,000,000 cash win!
Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 14 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 5 additional players not only matched 4+1, but additionally bought the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
With nine ways to win, there were 600,681 tickets nationwide won a total of $0 prizes in the Saturday, January 17th, 2026 drawing.
Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, select 5 numbers from a set of 69 and select one Powerball number from 1 to 26. The overall odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball jackpot are about 1 in 292 million. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize is 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners may select one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
