Saturday's Powerball jackpot goes to $77,000,000; 1 player won the second prize

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune will be up for grabs on Saturday, when Powerball lottery has $77,000,000 on the line. The cash value stands at a projected $$38.2 million up for grab. Powerball's jackpot rose because no one hit all six winning numbers drawn Wednesday night. The winning numbers from Wednesday night, January 10th, 2024 were 25-40-43-48-50 and Powerball number was 11.
While the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There was a single lucky winner correctly matched all 5 lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in New York won 1 million dollar cash.
Other major winners Wednesday night included 5 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 5 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 140 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 56 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but in addition purchased the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 448 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 194 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With 9 different ways to win, there were 379,183 tickets nationwide won $0 prizes in the Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 drawing.
