Saturday's Powerball jackpot climbs to $200,000,000; 2 second prize tickets sold

The Powerball grand prize increased since nobody hit all 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number from Wednesday night's $178,000,000 drawing. The next grand prize leaped to $200,000,000 for Saturday night's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at a projected $$90.7 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday, January 1st, 2025 drawing were 06, 12, 28, 35, 66 and Powerball was 26. No one won the Powerball grand prize in the past eleven draws since Monday, December 9th, 2024. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in NY, matched all six numbers for a $260,000,000 top prize.
Though the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There were 2 lucky tickets correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The two lucky ticket(s) purchased in AZ(1) and NC(1), each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 8 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 225 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 89 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, and also chose the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 611 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 185 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 438,379 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
