Wednesday's Powerball jackpot goes to $126,000,000; One second prize ticket sold

The Powerball multi-state lottery jackpot jumped to $126,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$57.8 million) Wednesday night when there were no jackpot winners in the $113,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The winning numbers from Monday, February 9th, 2026 drawing were 06-19-22-28-48 and Powerball was 24.
Though the grand prize was not hit Monday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There was a single lucky ticket matched all 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in NC will collect $1 million cash.
In addition, 6 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Also, 241 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 94 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Monday evening included 456 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 202 additional tickets of this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With 9 prize tiers, the Monday night's drawing generated 322,031 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball game can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. Powerball lottery uses a 5/69+1/26 system from which winning numbers are chosen. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years. Winners can select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
