No jackpot winning ticket sold last night. Powerball jackpot leaps to $142,000,000

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune is going to be up for grabs on Monday, when Powerball game has $142,000,000 on the line. The cash option stands at $$65.8 million. Powerball's grand prize went up because no player matched all six winning numbers drawn Saturday night. The winning numbers from Saturday, February 8th, 2025 drawing were 23, 44, 57, 60, 62 and Powerball was 09.
Even though there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were a total of 19 third prize winning tickets with or without Power Play option. 4 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Other prizes won Saturday night included 206 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 63 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! 665 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 188 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
With 9 different ways to win, there were 565,075 tickets across the nation won a total of $0 prizes in the Saturday, February 8th, 2025 drawing.
Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play, which multiplies the original prizes except grand prize. The odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The chances of matching 6 Powerball numbers are about 1 in 292 million. The minimum Powerball grand prize is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments. Winners can select one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
