No jackpot ticket sold last night. Powerball jackpot breaks to $163,000,000 Monday night

There were no tickets sold hit all five lotto numbers plus the Powerball number in the latest multi-state Powerball lottery draw, and the projected grand prize for Monday's drawing will jump to $163,000,000, according to lottery officials. The cash option will be an estimated $$73.9 million. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, December 28th, 2024 were 06-31-51-54-55 and Powerball was 12. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 9 draws since Monday, December 9th, 2024. One lucky player from NY walked away with $260,000,000 top prize in Saturday, December 7th, 2024 drawing.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Saturday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. 18 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. These included 18 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
Additional prizes won Saturday night included 384 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 122 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but in addition chose the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! There were 981 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 302 additional players not only matched 3+1, and also purchased the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
With 9 prize tiers, the Saturday night's drawing created 825,479 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, pick 5 numbers from 1 to 69 then select a Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Power Play, which increases the prizes except grand prize. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball jackpot are about 1 in 292 million. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
