Powerball jackpot rises to $760,000,000 Saturday; Two second prize tickets sold

Saturday's Powerball grand prize grew to $760,000,000, because nobody matched all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number drawn Wednesday night. The cash option for Saturday stands at an estimated $$382.5 million. Wednesday's $700,000,000 is the total grand prize amount - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annuity. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, December 27th, 2023 were 04, 11, 38, 51, 68 with Power Ball 05.

Though the grand prize was not hit Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were two second prize winners from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching all 5 white ball numbers but not the Powerball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in California won $1,000,000 cash. The other one second prize winner(s) from Texas also chose Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2 million cash win!

Also, 34 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 8 additional players not just matched 4+1, but also bought the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!

With nine prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing created 1,632,024 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.

Powerball is an American popular lottery game sold in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a shared jackpot game.
