The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing soars to $1,700,000,000

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune is going to be up for grabs on Wednesday, when Powerball has $1,700,000,000 on the line. The cash value will be $$781.3 million up for grab. Powerball's jackpot rose because nobody hit all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number drawn Monday night. The winning numbers drawn Monday night, December 22nd, 2025 were 03, 18, 36, 41, 54 with Power Ball 07. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 46 draws since Monday, September 8th, 2025. 2 lucky winners from MO and TX won the jackpot in Saturday, September 6th, 2025 drawing and split $1,800,000,000.
Although the jackpot was not hit Monday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There were 9 tickets that matched the first five lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 9 lucky ticket(s) sold in FL(1), GA(1), IL(1), NY(2), OH(1), PA(1), TN(1) and WI(1), each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Monday evening included 107 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 28 additional players not only matched 4+1, but in addition purchased the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which multiplies the winnings except jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years. Winners may choose one lump-sum cash payout instead.
