Massive Powerball jackpot up for grabs Wednesday night

Without a big winner in the latest drawing, the Powerball multistate lottery game has carried over the jackpot to $572,000,000 for Wednesday night's drawing. The cash option will be an estimated $$286.7 million up for grab. No player matched all six numbers to win the $543,000,000 jackpot Monday. The next Powerball game drawing will be at 10:59 PM Wednesday night. The numbers drawn Monday night, December 18th, 2023 were 05, 08, 19, 34, 39 with Power Ball 26. No one won the Powerball jackpot in the past 29 draws since Saturday, October 14th, 2023. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in California, matched all six numbers for a 1,730,000,000 top prize.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Monday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. There were 2 second prize winners from Monday night's drawing, matching the first 5 numbers but not the Powerball number. The two second prize winning ticket(s) sold in North Carolina(1) and New York(1) won $1 million cash.
Other major winners Monday night included 10 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional players not just matched 4+1, but in addition chose the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners may choose one-time lump sum cash payout option instead.
