Monday's Powerball jackpot jumps to $477,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

Monday's Powerball jackpot rised up to $477,000,000, because no ticket matched all 5 lotto numbers and the Powerball number drawn Saturday night. The lump-sum cash payout for Monday will be a projected $$229.7 million. Saturday's $468,000,000 is the total payout - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annuity. The numbers from Saturday night, December 9th, 2023 were 05, 25, 26, 40, 60 with Power Ball 01.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There was a sole lucky player that matched the first five white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) bought in New York won 1 million dollar cash.
Other major winners Saturday night included 15 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 1 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Also, 429 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 121 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 1120 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number.
