Powerball jackpot builds to $44,000,000 Monday, August 26th, 2024; 2 players won the second prize

The jackpot in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been rolled up to $44,000,000. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $$21.9 million up for grab. The prize amount was rolled over since nobody hit all six numbers in Saturday's $34,000,000 drawing. The next Powerball lottery drawing is Monday night. The numbers from Saturday, August 24th, 2024 drawing were 05-15-21-24-43 and Powerball was 17.
While the jackpot was not hit Saturday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There were 2 lucky winners matched all 5 white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The two lucky ticket(s) bought in MI(1) and WA(1), each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 11 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
