Monday's Powerball jackpot breaks to $750,000,000; 3 players matched the first five numbers

The jackpot in the multi-state Powerball lottery drawing grew to $750,000,000 for the Monday drawing. The cash value will be an estimated $$338.6 million up for grab. None of the tickets sold for Saturday's $700,000,000 drawing hit five lotto numbers plus the Powerball number. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, August 23rd, 2025 were 11-14-34-47-51 and Powerball number was 18.
Though the grand prize was not hit Saturday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There were 3 tickets that matched the first 5 white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The one ticket(s) in SD matched the first five numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $2 million cash win! This is part of the Powerball feature that guarantees a certain multiplier on all match 5 white ball winners that also have the Power Play option pushing the second prize to $2,000,000 cash. 2 other lucky ticket(s) purchased in ME(1) and NY(1), each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers!
Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 31 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 5 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
With nine different prize levels, there were 1,742,559 tickets across U.S. won a total of $0 prizes in the Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 drawing.
America's favorite Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which increases the winnings but not grand prize. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years. Winners may select one lump-sum cash payout instead.
