Massive Powerball jackpot up for grabs Saturday night

The Powerball grand prize has been pumped up to $700,000,000 (cash value $$316.3 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Saturday night. The grand prize amount has been carried over since nobody hit all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number to take the $643,000,000 grand prize Wednesday night. The numbers from Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 drawing were 31-59-62-65-68 with Power Ball 05.
Even though the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There were 3 lucky tickets correctly matched the first five numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in MI(1) and OK(1) will collect $1 million cash. The other one second prize winner(s) from TN also bought Power Play, which doubled the prize to 2 million dollar cash win!
Also, 22 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 8 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
With nine prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 1,119,715 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The minimum Powerball grand prize starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments. Winners can select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
