No jackpot ticket sold last night. Monday's Powerball jackpot increases to $605,000,000

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune is going to be up for grabs on Monday, when Powerball game has $605,000,000 on the line. The cash option stands at an estimated $$273.4 million. Powerball's grand prize went up because no player hit all 6 winning numbers drawn Saturday night. The winning numbers from Saturday, August 16th, 2025 drawing were 23, 40, 49, 65, 69 with Power Ball 23.
Though there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There were a total of 27 third prize lucky winners with or without Power Play option. 5 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Also, 478 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 118 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! There were 1307 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and also won $100. 344 additional players not just matched 3+1, but also purchased the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
With 9 different prize tiers, there were a total of 1,048,546 tickets nationwide won $0 prizes in the Saturday, August 16th, 2025 drawing.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. sold in 44 participating states as a shared jackpot game.
