Saturday's Powerball jackpot increases to $129 million; Two second prize tickets sold

Saturday's Powerball jackpot rolled up to $129 million, because no ticket hit all 6 numbers drawn Wednesday night. The cash value for Saturday stands at a projected $89.6 million. Wednesday's $116 million is the total payout - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annual installments. The numbers from Wednesday night, April 28th, 2021 were 16, 18, 35, 39, 53 with Power Ball number 21. No one won the Powerball grand prize in the past 126 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. One lucky player from Michigan walked away with $70.00 million grand prize in Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 drawing.
While the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There were two lucky winners correctly matched all 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) bought in California(1) and New Jersey(1) will collect 1 million dollar cash.
Other prizes won Wednesday night included 13 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! In addition, 298 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 81 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 634 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 200 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing created 519,795 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The minimum Powerball grand prize is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments. Winners can select one lump-sum cash payout instead.
