The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $1,090,000,000

The grand prize for Wednesday Powerball lottery increased to $1,090,000,000 (cash option $$527.3 million) after no one matched all 5 lotto numbers and the Powerball number Monday night. The winning numbers from Monday, April 1st, 2024 drawing were 19, 24, 40, 42, 56 and Powerball number was 23. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 39 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. One lucky winner from Michigan won the 810,000,000 grand prize in Monday, January 1st, 2024 drawing.
Even though the grand prize was not awarded Monday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There were six tickets that correctly matched the first five white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 6 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in Florida(1), Maryland(2), Minnesota(1), North Carolina(1) and Virginia(1) will collect $1 million cash.
Additional prizes won Monday evening included 53 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 11 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! In addition, 1241 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 272 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 2793 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 731 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine prize tiers, there were a total of 2,145,900 tickets across the nation won a total of $0 prizes in the Monday, April 1st, 2024 drawing.
