Mega Millions jackpot increases to $77,000,000 Friday, September 27th, 2024; Seven second prize tickets sold

There were no Mega Millions game grand prize winners for Tuesday's $62,000,000 dollar drawing, so the grand prize will increase to $77,000,000 with the cash value of an estimated $$38.2 million Friday, September 27th, 2024. The numbers from Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 drawing were 01, 06, 10, 23, 27 and the Mega Ball was 18, Megaplier was 5.
While there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There were seven tickets that correctly matched all five lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The seven lucky ticket(s) purchased in LA,MO,NY,PA,TN,VA(2), each won one million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 17 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 588 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 703 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine prize tiers, there were a total of 819,416 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. offered in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners can select one time lump sum cash payout instead.
Not like other Mega Millions participants, all the 9 prize levels of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a set value. This results in different prize amounts for equivalent winners sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other states. For instance, the second Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, California state lottery does not have Megaplier like other Mega Millions participants.
