Enormous Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs Friday night

The numbers from Tuesday night, October 22nd, 2024 were 08-43-48-58-60 with Mega Ball 04 and Megaplier x3. Unlike other Mega Millions participants, all the 9 prize levels of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This causes different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in California when compared to those sold in other 43 jurisdictons. For example, the 2nd Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, California state lottery does not have Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
