The jackpot in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery game continues to grow exciting players all across the nation. Because no player correctly matched all 6 winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing the jackpot will build to $129,000,000! The cash value will be $$62.3 million. The winning numbers from Friday, October 4th, 2024 drawing were 21, 39, 42, 43, 45 with Mega Ball 03 and Megaplier 2. Nobody won the Mega Millions jackpot in the past seven draws since Friday, September 13th, 2024.One lucky player from TX won the $800 million jackpot in Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 drawing.
Although there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. There were a total of 10 third prize winners. Among them, 10 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings. Roughly 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. Around 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners can choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
Not like other Mega Millions states, all the 9 prize tiers of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, as opposed to non-jackpot prize having a set amount. This results in different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other jurisdictons. By way of example, the 2nd Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery does not offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
