The jackpot for Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing skyrockets to $245,000,000

Tuesday's Mega Millions grand prize is going to be worth $245,000,000 (cash option $$110.7 million), because no player matched all 6 numbers in Friday night's drawing. The numbers from Friday night, November 10th, 2023 were 13-33-59-68-70 and the Mega Ball was 08, Megaplier was 3.
While the jackpot was not hit Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were a total of 8 third prize winning tickets. These included 8 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Also, 213 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 664 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back for the players in prize winnings. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can select one lump-sum cash payout instead.
Unlike other Mega Millions states, all the 9 prize levels of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This leads to different amounts of prize for equivalent winners sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 states. As an example, the 2nd Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, California state lottery doesn't offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
