Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot moves to $36,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune is going to be up for grabs on Tuesday, when Mega Millions game has $36,000,000 on the line. The cash option stands at an estimated $$17.1 million. Mega Millions' grand prize rose because no player hit all five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number drawn Friday night. The numbers from Friday, March 29th, 2024 drawing were 11, 30, 33, 38, 60 with Mega Ball 16 and Megaplier 4.
Even though the grand prize was not hit Friday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There was a single lucky ticket matched the first five white ball numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in CA will collect a million dollar cash each.
Other major winners Friday night included 14 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday evening included 248 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $500. 691 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

Contrary to other Mega Millions participants, all the nine prize levels of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a set amount. This leads to different prize amounts for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other forty three states. For instance, the 2nd Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery does not offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
