A single winner from IL took $344,000,000 grand prize from the Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night

Lottery officials said the winning ticket from Tuesday night's drawing worth $344,000,000 was sold in IL. The identity of the newest millionaire has not been determined, nor has the location of the ticket purchase. The numbers from Tuesday night, March 25th, 2025 were 01-05-17-39-62 with Mega Ball 08 and Megaplier X2. The winner can take a cash option worth $161.5 million before taxes, or decide to receive 30-year annuity option with yearly payment in the amount of $13.23 million before taxes. The jackpot winner is highly suggested to sign the ticket, place it in a secure place and get in touch with lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the opportunity to choose the cash value of the jackpot while claiming the prize. If the winner doesn't make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
