No ticket matched all six numbers last night. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot rolls up to $105 million

The grand prize in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery is on the move. Since no one correctly hit all 5 lotto numbers and the Mega Millions number in Tuesday's drawing, the grand prize will leap to $105 million! The lump-sum cash payout will be $71.1 million. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, March 16th, 2021 were 10, 41, 46, 52, 69 with Mega Ball number 08 and Megaplier X2. No one won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past 773 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.

While the jackpot was not awarded Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were a total of 5 3rd prize winners. These included 5 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Additional prizes won Tuesday evening included 231 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. There were 707 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.

With nine different prize levels, there were a total of 1,184,692 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, March 16th, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions game can be played in 43 states and D.C. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners can select one time lump sum cash payout instead.

In contrast to other Mega Millions participants, all the nine prize levels of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a set value. This leads to different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 Mega Millions states. For instance, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, California state lottery does not offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
