Huge Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs Friday night

With no winner in the latest draw, the Mega Millions game grand prize is going to be worth a projected $277,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$129.5 million) the next time the multistate lottery is played on Friday. The amount carried over because no one hit all five white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number to win the $256,000,000 jackpot Tuesday night. The numbers from Tuesday, March 11th, 2025 drawing were 01-19-26-38-69 and the Mega Ball was 15, Megaplier was 3. The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for 15 draws since Tuesday, January 21st, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in AZ, matched all six numbers for a $0 million top prize.
While there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There was only one lucky winner matched the first five lotto numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the second prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in CA will collect $1,000,000 cash each.
Also, 11 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Mega Millions uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) matrix to randomly pick winning numbers. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is 40 million dollar.
