Mega Millions jackpot increases to $80,000,000 Friday; 1 second prize ticket sold

The jackpot in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery is on the move. Since no player correctly matched all five white ball numbers and the Mega Millions number in Tuesday's drawing, the grand prize will go to a projected $80,000,000! The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $$38.2 million up for grab. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, June 18th, 2024 were 21-22-50-55-67 with Mega Ball number 20 and Megaplier X2.
Though there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There was a sole second prize winner from Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching all 5 white ball numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in WI will collect a million dollar cash each.
Additional prizes won Tuesday evening included 6 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. In addition, 202 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Unlike other Mega Millions states, all the 9 prize levels of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This leads to different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in California when compared to those sold in other 43 states. For example, the 2nd Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery.
