Nobody hit the jackpot last night. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $30 million

Friday's Mega Millions lottery jackpot rolled up to $30 million, since no one matched all 5 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number drawn Tuesday night. The lump-sum cash payout for Friday stands at an estimated $20.7 million. Tuesday's $22 million is the total grand prize amount - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annual installments. The numbers from Tuesday night, June 15th, 2021 were 18-22-27-38-52 with Mega Ball 11 and Megaplier x4. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 799 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.
Though there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. 11 third prize winning tickets were sold across the nation. These included 11 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other winners Tuesday night included 231 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. 749 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. It holds the record highest jackpot of $656 million in North American lottery history. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners may select one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.

This causes different amounts of prize for equivalent winners sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 lotteries. For the same reason, CA state lottery doesn't offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions participants.
