Mega Millions jackpot leaps to $30,000,000; Two players matched the first five numbers

The jackpot for Tuesday Mega Millions game went to $30,000,000 (cash option $$13.9 million) after no one hit all 6 numbers Friday night. The winning numbers from Friday, June 7th, 2024 drawing were 03, 05, 12, 22, 66 and the Mega Ball was 07, Megaplier was 4.
While there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There were two tickets that matched all five numbers and won the second prize. The two lucky ticket(s) bought in CA,TX, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Friday evening included 32 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Friday night included 344 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $500. 1036 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

Mega Millions is played in 43 states and Washington DC. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Mega Millions game uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) system to randomly pick winning numbers. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
Not like other Mega Millions participants, all the nine prize tiers of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This leads to different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 jurisdictons. As an example, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, California state lottery doesn't offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
