No ticket matched all 6 numbers last night. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $179 million

The jackpot for Tuesday Mega Millions game moved to $179 million (cash value $129.5 million) after nobody hit all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number Friday night. The numbers from Friday, July 30th, 2021 drawing were 19, 26, 31, 52, 68 with Mega Ball 10 and Megaplier x3.
Though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. There were a total of 17 3rd prize winning tickets. Among them, 17 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Additional prizes won Friday evening included 347 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. 971 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine different ways to win, there were 1,367,482 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, July 30th, 2021 drawing.
Mega Millions game is played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record highest jackpot of $656 million in United States lottery history. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners may choose one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
Compared with other Mega Millions states, all the 9 prize levels of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, as opposed to non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This results in different amounts of prize for equivalent winners sold in California when compared to those sold in other forty three lotteries. One example is, the second Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery doesn't offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
