Nobody hit the jackpot. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot moves to $130,000,000

There were no Mega Millions lottery jackpot winners for Friday's $120,000,000 dollar drawing, so the jackpot will climb to a projected $130,000,000 with the cash value of $$57.5 million Tuesday, July 29th, 2025. The winning numbers from Friday night, July 25th, 2025 were 14, 21, 25, 49, 52 with Mega Ball 07 and Megaplier x. The Mega Millions grand prize has been growing for 35 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
Although the grand prize was not hit Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were a total of 5 third prize winning tickets. These included 5 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Friday evening included 109 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $500. There were 426 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine different prize levels, there were a total of 463,432 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, July 25th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a shared jackpot game. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prizes. Approximately 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. Around 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. The odds of winning is about 1 to 14. The chances of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one lump sum cash payout instead.
As opposed to other Mega Millions participants, all the nine prize tiers of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a set amount. This causes different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 states. Such as, the 2nd Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, California state lottery doesn't offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
