No jackpot winning ticket sold. Mega Millions jackpot goes to $138 million

Friday's Mega Millions grand prize increased to $138 million, since no ticket hit all six numbers drawn Tuesday night. The cash value for Friday will be a projected $101.5 million. Tuesday's $128 million is the total grand prize amount - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annual installments. The winning numbers from Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 drawing were 10-26-30-52-57 with Mega Ball 10 and Megaplier 2. The Mega Millions grand prize has been growing for 809 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were a total of 13 3rd prize lucky winning tickets. Among them, 13 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Additional prizes won Tuesday evening included 294 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. 942 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With 9 different ways to win, there were a total of 1,247,624 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. To play Mega Millions, pick 5 numbers from 1 to 70 then select one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can select one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
